Holly & Anthony

May 21, 2011

Holly and Anthony exchanged vows in an outdoor setting at the historic Ashley Inn of Lancaster, Kentucky. The bride and groom wanted guests to experience the spirit of Kentucky, where they met and fell in love. The venue, located on an equestrian farm, provided an ambiance of beauty, romance and southern charm.

Prior to the ceremony, guests were greeted with lemonade and sweet tea served in traditional mason glasses, while the groom and his groomsmen held a bourbon toast in the barn.

The bride walked down the aisle, escorted by her father, to the "Wedding March" played on acoustic guitar. She wore an elegant tea-length gown by designer Justin Alexander and bridesmaids wore a one shoulder navy dress by designer Lula Kate. Groomsmen donned khaki suits with pink and navy blue ties.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed Kentucky Bourbon Punch and various cocktails on the patio. The reception was held in a romantic pavilion, where each table held a unique centerpiece of pink peonies, roses, daisies and white lilies by florist Crist Creona.

Kentucky-inspired, the menu included Bourbon Barbecue Chicken Sliders, Kentucky Hot Browns and jelly jars of macaroni and cheese. Rather than traditional cake, guests were treated to homemade cookies and shot glasses filled with milk. The guests were given monogrammed sugar cookies to take home with them.
