An Illuminating Affair in Bowling Green, Kentucky
Megan and Chris said their “I do’s” at the altar on May 12, 2012. The two fell quickly in love upon meeting a year prior to their wedding, and wanted their most intimate friends and family to share in their deep affections for one another at their ceremony. The ceremony took place at their church in Bowling Green, Kentucky, upholding a very traditional backdrop for a wedding. A not-so-very traditional aspect of the couple’s beautiful wedding was their decision to not utilize a Maid of Honor or Best Man; the two filled their bridesmaids and groomsmen with dear friends and family. Despite the rainy afternoon they were presented with, the love and adoration Megan and Chris felt for each other and their loved ones shined brightly through their actions and intricate details of the event. A gold theme was incorporated within the pale pink, green, and orange color scheme chosen for the day. Megan donned two gold bobby pins in her hair in honor of her grandmother. The bridesmaids wore beautiful pale gold dresses, and the reception was adorned in gold linens and other illuminating décor. Megan and Chris chose to keep their chosen wedding bands a surprise until the altar, and their undying love for one another shone brightly when it was revealed that they matched beautifully.
