The new Graphic Designer will not only need to keep our beautiful style intact, but help us continue to grow. GRAPHIC DESIGN POSITION

The Graphic Designer will assume a primary role in the layout of our quarterly bridal magazine, maintaining a close, working relationship with current advertisers, while working closely with Creative Director, Jaimeson Gann. In addition to the layout, the Graphic Designer will be creating new company brand material, website images and ads, materials for our How Charming! events, and brainstorming innovative company projects. Production of print materials such as: advertisements, billboards, postcards, media kit, etc. Manage project workflow from initial design through production within timelines. Able to follow and execute given direction. Very detailed oriented. Since we are a small business, this position will also be able to assist on other items, related to both the magazine and our sponsored events. Being a team player is essential.

Qualifications:

  • B.A or B.F.A. in Graphic Design or similar
  • Proficient in Adobe CS5 or higher, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience as a Graphic Designer/Art Director
  • Familiarity with prepress file handling
  • Strong knowledge of prepping files for print and web {knowing the difference, etc.}
  • Customer Service experience with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Professional, friendly demeanor
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects
  • Self motivated
  • Knowledge of the wedding industry is a plus

Logistics:

  • Part-Time
  • Three Days/Week – 21 hours per week {Days and Times are flexible}
  • Work in office {Lexington}
  • Position to begin immediately

Compensation:

  • $14.00 - $15.00/hr {depending on experience}.
