Amy & Daniel - A Rodeo Wedding In Shelbyville
From the Bride: Dan and I met through rodeo, something we're both passionate about. Dan was riding bulls and I was barrel racing. With a helping hand from mutual friends and relatives, we were introduced. We hit it off from the first moment we saw each other and have been inseparable ever since.
We wanted to have a country wedding that encompassed our "Kentucky lives." Almost all of our guests traveled a considerable distance to share this special day with us so we wanted everyone to really experience where we live. Most importantly, though, we wanted everyone to be comfortable and have a great time.
We used local professionals and we decorated with whiskey barrels, cedar and burlap. Also, we had bourbon from a local distillery. Our ceremony was held in a quaint little chapel just a few miles from our home and the reception was held on our farm. All of the decorations, invitations, programs, flower arrangements, bouquets and the pies for dessert were homemade by our family and friends. Having loved ones contribute with their own unique talents made the day even more special to us. However, my absolute favorite moment of the day was standing outside the chapel, hugging and thanking our closest friends and family for being with us.
