Elizabeth & David - A Wedding in June
Though this couple attended the same high school, they didn't connect until college. Their love was clearly meant to be and we here at Kentucky Bride are so excited to share their story with you. From the Bride: David and I began dating while attending Murray State University in Western Kentucky. Even though we were both from Frankfort and had attended Franklin County High School, we didn't begin dating until coming to Murray.
As an increasing number of students from Frankfort started attending MSU, David thought it would be nice to start hosting weekly dinners to provide the incoming Frankfort-ers with a network of students to help them acclimate to school more easily. I got invited along with mutual friends. It wasn't long until I tossed a packet of taco sauce at him one taco night and sparks flew.
Our vision for our wedding was a unique outdoor wedding that incorporated my love for horses and the outdoors while maintaining tradition. Having our wedding at Equus Run Vineyards in Midway was wonderful, as it was only about 15 minutes from my parents' home and surrounded by horse farms. The setting for our wedding was rustic, bright and summery with many handmade details.
My favorite wedding day moment was our "first look" that took place before the ceremony. David and I decided that despite traditions, seeing each other alone would be more special than letting our guests see our "first looks." It was the perfect moment that was only the beginning to an even more perfect evening.
