AbiGail & Chance: A May Wedding

AbiGail & Chance were married on a beautiful, sunny day at a private horse farm in Paris, Ky. Read the bride's story below & be sure to take a look at all the lovely photos, captured by Emily Moseley Photography. From the Bride: Chance & I first met at Stonerside Farm in Paris, the thoroughbred horse farm where I grew up. I was out seeing the foals with Daddy one morning when he told me to take his truck to another barn and pick up Chance. I'd never heard of the guy, but went to get him anyway and learned he was from Utah and was in Kentucky doing an internship.

Skip ahead about three years later, and Chance took me horseback riding at the farm. When we got to Stonerside's covered bridge, Chance hopped off his horse, got down on one knee and proposed to me with an antique diamond and sapphire ring. Obviously, I said yes!

Once the planning started, the wedding venue was a no brainer. I had always dreamed of having my big day at the farm and we were blessed to be given the opportunity. The ceremony was held under a 200 year old sycamore tree by my parent's house in front of Stoner Creek.

The scenic views were accompanied by singing birds, a blowing breeze and the shining sun. Afterwards, guests drove across the farm to one of the barns for our cocktail hour and reception. We had ponies (and even a show cow, Pebbles) in the barn to greet everyone as they came in!

Our wedding embodied a rustic elegant farm feel. From mason jars, antique mantels, comfort food and homemade desserts, it was casually southern and beautiful! A favorite moment from the day was when Daddy led me up to the ceremony on my 28 year old quarter horse, Flint. He then helped me off and we walked down the aisle together. Since I was a little girl, I had always told everyone I would ride Flint on my wedding day, and it came true!

Another highlight included a local Christian Church choir serenading guests during the bridal party recession. The whole day - from family, friends, and the unbeatable setting - made for a great experience and photos that we will treasure for a lifetime.
