From the bride: To say Johnny & I met by fate would be an understatement. Johnny, born & raised in California, and I, born & raised in Kentucky, met at a wedding in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a groomsmen & I was a bridesmaid. My friend, the bride, joked that I would hit it off with Johnny since he was the only groomsmen she hadn't met. I laughed it off because that was the kind of thing that happens in movies, not in my life.

After the wedding in July 2009, we parted ways & went back to our homes across the country from one another. We talked for months via phone & text, before he came to visit Kentucky in April 2010. There is a quote, "Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold, it's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough." This quote is so true and definitely sums up our relationship!

We ventured back & forth from Kentucky to California until Johnny finally moved out to my old Kentucky home in September of 2011. He proposed on my birthday in December the following year. I thought we were going to look at Christmas lights in the park with our families. Low & behold, a sign was hung in the park with, "Beth, Will You Marry Me?" on it! I was blown away & did not even expect it! It was amazing having our families there to share in that special moment with us.

The theme for our wedding was "Fall in Love." Fall is my favorite time of year & I love all the colors it brings with it. Our wedding colors were deep purple, red, burnt orange, & golden yellow. My bridesmaids dresses were red & they pulled all the colors together. I wanted elegant centerpieces & one of my favorites was a tall vase with stems, flowers, and hanging clear globes. They were all beautiful!

To pick a favorite moment of our wedding is hard! Our first look was one of the top favorites. Seeing my handsome soon-to-be husband all dressed up in his tux, & I in my beautiful wedding dress was a moment that he & I will remember forever. Another favorite would be how our reception ended. Johnny is a huge sports fan, more specifically, a San Francisco Giants baseball fan. Our guests & bridal party ended up surrounding the T.V. as the Giants won their playoff game after 18 innings! It couldn't have ended any better. We all had an amazing time & we are so blessed to have such amazing family & friends to have shared that day with!
