Well this wedding between Chelsea & Trevor is just that. This is one of the sweetest DIY days you'll see with lovely handmade & thrifted details everywhere. And would you believe this lovely bride planned & executed it all in just two months?! Take a look at the photos (by Leah Barry Photography) from their big day & be sure to read all about it below!

From the bride: This didn't start as one of those classic love at first sight, weak in the knees type of love story. Trevor & I were just two ordinary people whose lives crossed at a church camp in western Kentucky. We were friends for a year as we attended college 3 hours apart, but then all of a sudden, we were back as counselors at the camp where we first met. I suddenly felt a spark that hadn't been there before. Trevor turned into someone I couldn't be without & slowly weaved himself into my happy little life.

I was sure early on that Trevor was meant for me, & he finally realized it too. He proposed to me in April at the location of our first date in Nashville. To everyone's surprise, I chose to have our wedding date set just two months later in June.

The most important thing for Trevor & I was that our wedding truly reflected our love for Christ & the paths that we had walked to get to the moment when our lives would be joined together. We chose a small, country church in Allensville, Ky where both of my grandmothers had grown up. The ceremony was performed by Trevor's childhood minister & was packed full with personal & meaningful details, including our unique vows as well as sweet blessings written by each of our parents.

As for the reception, Trevor left the details to me. It was a true reflection of my love for chipped paint, rust, flea market finds, & most importantly, us! Almost everything, from the cookie jar favors to the Kentucky State Park table markers, the vintage mismatched china, and the handwritten signs were labors of love. My sweet mama was a crafting machine as she selflessly helped to make my wedding dreams a reality.

One of my favorite moments of the day has to be the first look. As I made my way down the country drive to see my groom, I remember thinking that this is one of those moments that I'll remember forever. When I saw his wide smile as he turned around, I melted. He anchors me, then & now. And even though this didn't start as one of those classic, love at first sight stories, it's all the more sweet because our love story had a happily ever after.
