Just a few tips.

These are just a few things that you can keep in mind when submitting to Kentucky Bride.

ALL SUBMISSIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR EITHER THE BLOG OR volume 11, issue 1, COMING IN April OF 2019.

DEADLINE FOR PRINT CONSIDERATION (FOR VOLUME 11, ISSUE 1) IS January 15th, 2019.

REAL WEDDINGS

We will consider submissions from any professional wedding photographer in the United States. To be considered for our Real Kentucky Weddings section, the event must have taken place in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. To be considered for our Destination Weddings section, the couple must have roots in Kentucky, but had a destination wedding or event. We are introducing a new section, Border State Weddings, and we will select a very limited amount of real weddings from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. We will not accept editorials or styled shoots from bordering Kentucky states.

We are always looking for beautiful things and we will consider all forms of wedding inspiration. Submit your bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, engagement photos, destination engagements and weddings, and of course your wedding images!

What makes a submission great? Details. Our publication is meant to inspire brides and grooms who are planning their weddings. They want to see your unique ideas, color schemes, venue choices, menus, calligraphy, invitations, etc.


styled shoots

Yes, we do accept styled shoots! Here's some important information:

When considering styled shoots for print, we look for shoots that have not been shared on social media and/or blogs. It's important that we present fresh and unseen material to our readers. If you would like your styled shoot to be considered exclusively for print, please do not post to your social media and/or web outlets. We will do our research to ensure that styled shoots and editorials have not been shared. Your submission can be rejected for violating these terms.


PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW BEFORE YOU SUBMIT.

Please submit at least 50 photos and no more than 150 photos. Consider the highlights of the day and the details. The photos that are submitted should showcase the essence of the day. We look closely at the details, the consistency, and the composition.

Please do not submit blog posts. We ask that you share a digital and downloadable gallery of images.

If you are a bride who is submitting your wedding, please ensure that you still have a working gallery and that images can be downloaded.

If you are submitting on behalf of your photographer, we must have written permission from the photographer/photographers to publish either on the blog or in print. You are also required to fill out all applicable vendor details.

If your submission is chosen for either print or blog, we'll require additional information about the event from the parties involved.

Please note that we do not publish content that has already been published on other blogs or in other magazines. Please inform us if you have submitted this wedding elsewhere.

submission review + response

Due to the high number of submissions, it can up to six weeks for us to respond. If you haven’t heard back from us and it’s been more than six weeks since you submitted or if you have any questions, please contact us and we'll be more than happy to respond. Please note that if you have submitted a wedding for Print Only, we will not review and/or approve your submission until two weeks after the submission deadline.

We will only accept submissions through the form below.

Please take careful consideration when filling out the vendor credits. We will not consider submissions that do not include the vendor credits. If the space is left blank, we will assume that there was no vendor for that category. If there is a category that isn't listed, you can provide the vendor information in the "additional credits" section. If you do not include websites, your submission will not be reviewed until you correctly fill out the required form.

important: it is the responsibility of the person submitting to include website credits for vendors.

the submission will be considered null and void without proper vendor credits. if your vendor does not have a website, please type "none."

If you need to amend the submitted vendor list, please email hello@kentuckybride.com as soon as possible, but no later than february 15th, 2019. The submission is considered locked after that date.

NOTICE: By submitting, you are allowing Kentucky Bride to use verbiage and images submitted.
