KB SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Please carefully read the submission instructions. If your submission is not completed per our guidelines, it will not be reviewed.
All submissions will be considered for either the blog or our print publication. If your submission is received July 15th, 2024-January 15th, 2025 and you are selected for print - you will be notified by January 17th, 2025 for Volume 17, Issue 1 (on newsstands in April 2025). If your submission is received January 16th, 2025-June 1st, 2025 and you are selected for print - you will be notified by June 4th, 2025 for Volume 17, Issue 2 (on newsstands in October 2025).
Due to the high number of submissions, you will only be contacted if your submission is approved for publication on either our blog or in print. If you aren’t contacted by the date above, you can submit elsewhere as it is not a fit for Kentucky Bride. If you’re unsure of the timeline, you can always email us at hello@kentuckybride.com with any questions.
Please note that we prefer real weddings to be no longer than one year old upon submission.
SUBMISSION OPTIONS
To be considered for our Real Kentucky Weddings section, the ceremony must have taken place in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. To be considered for our Destination Weddings section, the couple must have roots in Kentucky, but had a destination wedding or event. We will select a very limited amount of real weddings from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia to be featured in our Border State Weddings section. Unsure of where your wedding fits? Wherever your ceremony was will determine what section of the publication your wedding will be featured in. If your submission does not meet the above criteria, but has relevance to our publication, please email at hello@kentuckybride.com to provide more information.
We are always looking for beautiful things and we will consider all forms of wedding inspiration. Submit your bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, engagement photos, destination engagements and weddings, and of course your wedding images! What makes a submission great? Details. Our publication is meant to inspire couples who are planning their weddings. They want to see your unique ideas, color schemes, venue choices, menus, calligraphy, invitations, etc.
Read Before Continuing
Please note that we do not publish content that has already been published on other professional blogs or in other magazines/local publications. Please inform us if you have submitted this wedding elsewhere.
Important Vendor INFO
We will not consider submissions that do not include the complete list of vendor credits. If you didn’t use a vendor in the category listed, type NA. If there is a category that isn't listed, you can provide the vendor information in the "additional credits" section. The submission will be considered null and void without proper vendor credits.
IMPORTANT PHOTO INFO
Please include a link to a high-resolution downloadable gallery of no more than 150 images or a link to a gallery that has a section/folder for Kentucky Bride review. Anyone can submit, but links to full galleries will not be reviewed if there is not a section of 150 images or less. The photos that are submitted should showcase the essence of the day. We look closely at the details, the consistency, and the composition of the photography.
