Megan and Mike's Rustic Wedding

From the bride: There was so much about my wedding day that I loved! Lots of tiny details came together in the end to make something special. My sister and I made fresh baby's breath flower crowns the night before the ceremony. I had purchased some dried lavender bunches for my bridesmaids from a local farm. My mom and I spent hours picking some cute ivy from our yard to decorate the tables. One thing I loved was the way we were able to incorporate fresh greenery along with our wedding colors of wisteria and dusty rose.

My favorite part of the reception was the incorporation of a dessert table instead of just a single wedding cake. Homemade pop-tarts, mini cakes, cupcakes, cookies and cake pops were among the desserts from a local bakery (except for the cake pops, my mom made those!) Another thing I loved was our inclusion of a photo booth. We had Instax film cameras available for guests to take silly pictures and have a keepsake.

But, my favorite wedding day moment, by far, was sneaking out during the reception with my husband. Bare feet in the grass, meandering towards the woods at sunset, to do portraits. Nothing is more special than taking those moments to breathe deep and be with the one you love the most.
