Julie + Rich's Classic Hazelnut Farm Wedding

From the Bride: I know our wedding will always remain unforgettable to us, but it's unforgettable to many because we had the honor of being the very first wedding at Hazelnut Farm. Rich and I took an incredible leap of faith signing the contract after only seeing blueprints and loving the vision of what this venue could be. With that said, there was an insurmountable amount of stress and too many nights of tears (though I know this is the norm for any wedding planning) as we were at the mercy of mother nature and factors completely out of our control impacting the completion of our venue. Thank goodness we had an unbelievable dream team that made it everything we could have dreamed of and finished for our wedding. I cannot even explain the emotion I felt walking into the reception before the guests arrived - it was the first time I saw the place completed, and every choice we made come together so beautifully. And oh my - my florist exceeded all of my expectations! I am beyond honored to be the first bride for what I'm sure will be the most sought after venue in Louisville.

It is too hard to narrow down a favorite wedding day moment, because there is just too much emotion and love experienced throughout the entire day. My most memorable moments were spending the special time getting dressed with just my mom, my first look with my dad as my mom was able to look over the balcony, and then the dance party with all of my bridesmaids as we waited for the ceremony to begin. Walking down the aisle with my dad was definitely one of my most favorites. This is the moment you dream of since you were a little girl. My dad was a seasoned pro walking his baby girl down the aisle (he has four daughters), but I was so nervous and apparently making noises trying not to cry. Dad was telling me to get it together, and all of a sudden I looked up and saw Rich - instantly I was overcome with calmness and love and everything felt right in this world. My favorite detail about the day was surprising all of our guests with a bugler to introduce Rich and me at the reception. What I will never forget though, is when the band played the last song, everyone remaining at the reception surrounded Rich and me. Rich stopped me and said, "Look around, Julie. We are literally surrounded by the people that love us the most right now." We took that moment to turn and look at every single person and I was consumed with love and gratitude.

Groom's favorite moment: “When Julie walked through the door and I saw her for the first time.”
