Hannah + Caleb's Timeless and Rustic Wedding

From the Bride: From the first look with my sweet husband to dancing the night away with so many close friends and family, our wedding day couldn't be described as anything less than perfect. This was truly the day I had dreamed of since I was a little girl. We were so blessed to have so many people come and celebrate our special day with us. My husband's godfather and my youth pastor performed the ceremony which made it so personal and special for both of us.

We both had the sweetest, special moments with our grandmothers, including my sweet 96 year old grandma singing "Bushel and a Peck" with me during family portraits and both of our families coming together to pray over our marriage before the ceremony. A favorite moment for both my husband and I was having his sweet Grandma Sue there. She was battling leukemia and we weren't sure how long we had left with her at the time. She made it VERY clear to everyone she was going to be at our wedding and nothing was going to stop her from getting there. She looked absolutely beautiful and I was more than OK with sharing the spotlight with her at the end of the ceremony when everyone clapped for her to encourage her in her fight. We lost her in November, but she told us she wanted to be buried in her wedding outfit so that we would know she would always remember that day. We are so grateful she made it to her goal and got to see us get married.

My favorite moment from the whole day will always be the first look with my husband. He was so nervous and excited to see me and the look on his face when he finally saw me is one I will never forget! I felt like a princess all day, especially when I got to twirl my dress for pictures with my new husband in a local park. It felt like I was truly living in my own fairy tale and I was the star of the show. I'm so thankful to have found THE perfect dress that matched everything I wanted in a wedding dress and then some.

Our reception was in a beautiful, rustic barn and while it was SOOO hot (mid-summer wedding), it perfectly fit in with everything I wanted the reception to be and more. We had a popcorn bar for guests to enjoy while they waited for us to arrive. (We rolled up in a church mini bus traveling on back roads...what an adventure!) Our wedding cake was even designed to match the theme of the barn (and it was THE BEST cake I have ever eaten in my life!) The venue was beautiful beyond belief and perfectly matched the theme I was trying to incorporate throughout the entire day. I find myself going back and looking at wedding pictures all the time just to relive the best day of my life!
