Callie + Jackson

From the Bride: We had the sweetest, most peaceful day. Some of the fun things that made our day unique and fun included the photo booth with free prints provided by our photographers. It was incredibly popular and getting the prints right away was so fun! We also had a box with 2 macarons in it made by Lauren's Macs at each place setting so that guests had something to snack on while the caterers set up for the dinner. We also had multiple guests comment on our custom neon sign with our last name that hung behind our sweetheart table during the reception. Our decorators, The Gathered Event Company, got this for us at a great price, and now it is so fun that we have a custom neon sign to hang in our home and remind us of our wedding day! Another fun aspect was that instead of a traditional guest book, we had quilt pieces for our guest to write a message to us on. One of my aunts is making it into a beautiful quilt that we can display and use in our home. We also set aside time during our ceremony to take a few extra pictures as the sun was setting, we are so glad that we did this because some of our most beautiful pictures were taken during this time! We danced our first dance to “Lover” (First Dance Remix) by Taylor Swift. My favorite thing that we did was having our parents pray over us during our wedding ceremony. It was such a sweet and special time that allowed us to have a moment with our parents as they prayed blessings over our marriage.

Bride’s Advice: To plan at a pace that works the best for you. Depending on how far in advance you like to be prepared or how much you prefer to work quickly during "crunch time", do whatever works well for you, prioritizing large items first.
