Gina + Jacob's Louisville Wedding

Gina envisioned a romantic wedding inspired by Bridgerton, drawn to its sense of timeless elegance. “I found it so beautiful for such an important day,” she says. Alongside the venue, gardens, and color palette, she incorporated subtle details that fellow fans would recognize—most notably ceremony programs designed as Lady Whistledown–style society papers.

Gina and Jacob’s wedding day was a true labor of love, shaped by meaningful family traditions and personal touches. A Pittsburgh cookie table served as the primary dessert, honoring Gina’s roots. “Family and friends from all over brought homemade cookies,” she says. “We had so many we couldn’t fit them all on the dessert tables.” The florals were equally personal, handcrafted by a close family friend from Gina’s hometown in Pennsylvania, who transported the arrangements to Kentucky so Gina could have the flowers she had always envisioned.

The couple also found a special way to include their corgi, Bonnie, in the celebration. “Bonnie has been with us through every major milestone over nearly six years together,” Gina shares. Without nieces, nephews, or young children in the wedding party, Bonnie became the surprise ring bearer, walking down the aisle with the rings attached to her collar. “So much about the day felt perfect, but that moment was especially meaningful to us.”

Bride’s Advice: One piece of advice I wish someone had told me is to embrace the joy in every moment of the planning process. It’s easy to get caught up in the details and stress, but remember that this is a unique time in your life. Take time to celebrate each milestone, from choosing your venue to tasting cake samples. Enjoy the laughter, the excitement, and even the small challenges, because these moments make the journey special. Keep the focus on the love and happiness that brought you to this point, and let that guide you through the planning.
