Peyton + Brevin's London Wedding

From the Bride: I have been to many weddings in my life. It seems like everyone does everything the same. I wanted my wedding day to be unique and really capture a true picture of my husband and I, along with making sure our friends and families enjoyed this celebration. The most important thing to me was making sure my father was a part of the ceremony. My father passed away when I was 18 from metastatic melanoma. I debated having my mother walk me down the aisle, or even my dad's brothers. I spoke with my mother, and ultimately made it her decision. She wanted to be able to watch me walk down the aisle. After praying and speaking with my now husband, I decided to walk alone. While it was so empowering to walk alone, I was never really by myself. My bouquet featured a pin with my father’s picture. This way my father was still able to walk me down the aisle. We also reserved a special seat for him with a framed picture of him and I.

Our day also featured many things to make the day special. It was the weekend of Halloween, so my mother in-law made a table full of treats and candy for all the kiddos. We also rented out a bounce house for the day as well. Not only was it fun for the children, but it made for beautiful pictures as well! We also had one of our dear friends sing our first dance song, which was so amazing. Other things we did that I absolutely adored include: an asymmetrical flower arch in the ceremony, stunning pictures at an airport, and a streamer exit. Our cake was Cinnamon Toast Crunch, along with cupcakes, macarons, and chocolate chip cookies. We danced our first dance to “Made For You” by Jake Owen.

My favorite thing from the night was our guest book. We used a service called After The Tone, where our loved ones could leave us special messages and well wishes. There is something so special about being able to hear my mother and my grandma’s voices years after they are gone. It is something I will treasure forever.

Bride’s Advice: It sounds cliche, but don't stress. Nothing is perfect, even your wedding day. But you will be so excited you will never notice the mistakes. Your loved ones will take care of everything!
