Grace + Robbie's Frankfort Wedding!

For Grace, wedding planning became far more than organizing a celebration—it was an emotional journey shaped by the people who helped bring her vision to life. What began as a desire to create a wedding that reflected the life she and Robbie had already built together quickly became an appreciation for the talented vendors who transformed those ideas into reality. "My style is colorful, fun, and maybe even a little dramatic," she shared. After seven years together and countless weddings as guests, the couple knew exactly what mattered most. "You should never let your guests go hungry, even for a second," she said with a laugh. While she had a clear vision for the celebration, she credits her vendor team for bringing every detail together.

Many of the day's most meaningful moments centered around faith and the people who had guided the couple throughout their relationship. Robbie and the bride had attended Saint Peter Claver Catholic Church for about two years and had grown especially close to Fr. Norman Fischer during their marriage preparation. Just one month before the wedding, he unexpectedly passed away. Although his absence was deeply felt, Fr. Charles Howell, a close friend of Fr. Norman, stepped in to officiate the ceremony, providing the comfort and spiritual guidance the couple needed on such an important day.

The reception reflected the couple's personality just as much as the ceremony. Rather than choosing a traditional caterer, they served food from one of their favorite restaurants, The Local Taco, where they had shared countless meals throughout their relationship. "We've probably eaten there over 100 times," the bride said. When they struggled to decide on a menu, choosing a restaurant that held so many memories felt like the perfect fit—and a uniquely personal way to celebrate with family and friends.

For dessert, guests enjoyed strawberry and vanilla wedding cake before the couple shared their first dance to Kacey Musgraves' "Golden Hour."

Looking back, the bride encourages future couples to keep the focus on what truly matters. "It's your day. Don't stress about the details or someone else's opinion," she said. "Your people will have a great time because it's your wedding and they love you." Her biggest takeaway is simple: don't worry about the tablecloths or the more expensive wine. Instead, surround yourself with the people you love and enjoy every moment together.
