The celebration started well before the wedding day for Macey and Dustin, who spent the weekend at Richwood on the River with their closest friends and family. The weekend before the wedding, she, her mom, and their neighbors planted them together; afterward, the planters found new homes on their front porches. For her entrance, the couple found another creative solution: a bridesmaid walked beside her carrying parasol umbrellas facing the guests, keeping her hidden as she made her way from the back of the house to the front. One of their closest friends ordained the ceremony—the same friend whose wedding marked the beginning of their love story.

The collected details continued into the reception with mismatched china plates from Richwood and teacups from her maid of honor’s mom for coffee with dessert. Although there wasn’t a designated wedding color, chartreuse green appeared in ribbons, printed cocktail napkins, a cake stand, and champagne coupes inspired by the dress she wore for their engagement photos. Guests also used a vintage lounge set and Polaroid cameras, leaving the couple with hundreds of Polaroids as keepsakes.
