Kayla + Nick's Versailles Wedding

For Kayla and Nick, exchanging vows in a church was one of the most meaningful parts of their wedding day. Their shared faith has been at the heart of their relationship since they first began dating, making a church ceremony a natural choice as they began their marriage together. "Marriage represents a sacred covenant between a man and woman, reflecting the relationship between Christ and the Church," the bride shared. "Christ has been the center of our relationship, so it was very important for us to be married in a church."

Family also played a special role in the celebration, especially when it came to dessert. The bride's older sister and maid of honor, Kristen, owns Kristen's Kreations bakery in Versailles and created an unforgettable dessert display for the reception. In addition to a three-tier wedding cake (funfetti, chocolate, and strawberry flavors), guests enjoyed apple pie, shortbread cookies, chocolate chip cookies, macarons, and cupcakes, offering something sweet for everyone. "She wanted to go all out with every dessert you could think of," the bride said.

Surrounded by family and friends, the couple celebrated the beginning of their marriage with the people who mean the most to them. Their first dance was a mash-up of "Cowboy Take Me Away" and "I Don't Dance," blending two meaningful songs into one memorable moment.

Looking back on the planning process, Kayla encourages future couples to keep the big picture in mind. "Don't sweat the small stuff," she said. "The only thing that matters is that you are marrying your best friend!"
