Lovely Livery Wedding
Allyson and David’s Wedding Shines with all the Charming and Unique Details!
From the bride: We wanted our wedding day to represent us! Throughout the planning process, we talked about how we wanted the entire weekend to reflect us as a couple and for our guests to feel like they were experiencing our little love story. From the save the date to the final send off, every detail was important and we hoped our guests would notice the personal touch in everything. We met in Lexington, KY and we both love that city so it only felt right to go back there for our wedding. We had our rehearsal dinner at the same place we had our first date. We incorporated drinks in our bar menu from the cities we grew up in and our specialty drink was what was on tap at Pint Night the night we met. Our guest book reflected all of the things we love from the cities that mean the most to us. We incorporated some of our favorite fall foods in our menu and our late night snack was our favorite Lexington fast food staple. We truly hope our guests felt relaxed, welcome, and loved all weekend.
The entire weekend was a dream. The love that I felt was overwhelming and was truly an amazing feeling. I can't pick just one favorite moment because there were so many! One that definitely would top the list was the first look. I couldn't wait to see David. The moment he turned around, it was like nothing else mattered. We were outside in downtown Lexington, yet it felt like we were the only two there. I couldn't stop smiling. I was very intentional about being present in the moment. I wanted to remember everything from how something looked to how it felt, I wanted to notice everything and take it all in. Everyone told me this day would be a blur and I didn't want it to pass without me taking a second to look around and take everything in. David also said the first look was his favorite moment. He loved finally getting to see me, he loved the area our photographer took us to do the first look, that moment is definitely one we will never forget. He also loved walking around Lexington with our wedding party, laughing and taking photos. It was very relaxed and a lot of fun.
Behind the wedding and all those details, was love and commitment. The marriage is the real reason for that weekend and we are thankful for the amazing people in our lives who helped mentor us, advise us, and love us through this whole process. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank every person who had a part in celebrating with us that weekend. This weekend was all thanks to our family, friends, and our amazing team of vendors. We are so thankful for each and every person who helped us begin our marriage with so much love. This weekend was more than we could have asked for and we are so thankful.
