Angela + Aaron's Louisville Wedding

From the bride: Our wedding had a ‘hometown’ feel to it. The venue was very personal to both Aaron and I as it was on family property. Our vision was to create a very organic, yet intimate and unplugged setting. The ceremony started with a grand entrance walking through rustic barn doors, leading down the lantern lit aisle where the ceremony took place. We recited our vows under a handcrafted wooden arbor adorned with lush green ivy vines. Our reception area was beautifully lit using string lighting that made for a romantic and intimate area. We used oriental rugs of all shapes and sizes for our unique dance floor. Our guest enjoyed making yummy treats over the fire pits with our S’mores bar, it was quite the hit! The night ended with a fun and shiny sparkler send-off. It was perfect, exactly what we had envisioned.

I would have to say that my favorite moment was when Aaron and I shared our “first look.” When our eyes met I felt so many different emotions. The joy, excitement and overwhelming happiness, knowing that this is the man that God chose specifically for me. I felt so much contentment knowing that this was finally happening. In just a few short moments we would be husband and wife; the rest of our lives right in front of us. Although this was an intimate moment between Aaron and I, we were able to share that moment with those closest to us and that meant so much to the both of us.

Aaron's favorite wedding moment was when we were walking into the reception to "Won't Stop Now" by Elevation Worship. What that song represents from a spiritual and a marriage standpoint is that this was only the beginning for us; that we won't stop growing in our faith or our marriage for the future of our family. We are going to move forward, not knowing what will come next, but knowing that God will be at the forefront of our home. We will strive to grow spiritually and in our marriage. As we move forward as husband and wife we are ready for whatever God has in store for us. Hearing the song to this day is a reminder of where we came from and where God is taking us next.
