Shelby + Will's Lexington Wedding
From the bride: Will is from Florida and I’m from Kentucky, and we met in DC. We fell in love with the ornate rotunda in Limestone Hall and knew we had to have our reception there. Will insisted on an outdoor ceremony and we were excited when we realized Gratz Park was only a few blocks away. The girls got ready at Michelle Franzetti's studio while the men enjoyed a bourbon tour of Town Branch Distillery. We hired Electria Strings, whose music was traditional and romantic for the ceremony, but fun during the cocktail hour when then they turned on their electric sound and played modern hits. We hired J. Renders BBQ for catering and received compliments on the food all night! After, people were snapping pictures in the Clear Choice Photo Booth, taking shots at the bar with Amendment 21 Bartending, and dancing with Jordan English Band. To end the night, we had a sparkler exit on the stairs of Limestone and a getaway car from Gold Shield in a 58 Bentley.
His favorite moment: We asked Shelby's stepdad and my stepmom to be the witnesses on our marriage license. It was a simple gesture, but turned out to be really special. It was nice spending time with them post-ceremony and pre-reception hidden in Limestone's kitchen. Her favorite moment: At the end of the night, I crowd-surfed and we both sang on stage to Journey's “Don't Stop Believin’”. Everyone was jumping up and down singing along. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day!
