Caitlin and Grant's Louisville Wedding
After attending more than 25 weddings together in just three years, Grant and Caitlin entered their own celebration with a clear vision of what they wanted—“a day that truly felt like us and captured who we are as a couple.” The morning began on a personal note, with their dog, Sparky, making a special appearance at the venue while they got ready. Rather than sharing their vows in front of more than 200 guests, the couple chose a more intimate approach, reading them privately during their first look. “It ended up being our favorite moment of the day,” they shared, a quiet exchange that set the tone for everything that followed.
Throughout the celebration, they infused their personalities into every detail. From fun fact cocktail napkins to table numbers featuring photos of themselves at the corresponding ages, each element told a piece of their story. A shared love of Taylor Swift also made its way into the day in thoughtful and playful ways. “We loved expressing ourselves through the details,” they said, highlighting how these personal touches made the experience feel uniquely theirs.
The couple shared their first dance to “You Are In Love” by Taylor Swift, a fitting choice for such a meaningful day. For dessert, they opted for a small, heart-shaped Funfetti cake just for the two of them, while guests enjoyed classic vanilla cake. Reflecting on the planning process, they offer this advice: “Don’t overthink your decisions once you’ve made them. There are so many options, and it can feel overwhelming, but there’s a million different ways to have a beautiful wedding day. Listen to your gut, do what feels right for you and your partner, and don’t look back.”
