Courtney + Joseph's Owensboro Wedding

From the Bride: Both my husband and I were raised and have deep roots in Kentucky. We wanted a mix of a Christmas and Kentucky wedding theme. We wanted our reception to be our own Hallmark Christmas story. Some of my favorite details were the pops of green velvet, our Christmas florals, and the festive bride's drink garnish with rosemary and raspberries.

Fun fact, we went on a family vacation to Lake Tahoe, CA months before our wedding where we handpicked giant pine cones that we mailed and flew home in a spare suit case for decorations. Our guest favors were Bourbon balls from Rebecca Ruth's candies and cream pulls from Mom Blakeman's. Our holly berries and magnolia leaves used for decor came from the groom's grandmother's "Granny's" yard. The ring bearer's pillow was made out of the bride's mother's wedding dress. My something "borrowed" was the strand of pearls that my dad gave my mom on their wedding day.

Some of my favorite ceremony details were the violinist and vocalist duet.

Bride’s Advice: Don't get bogged down by the details; your wedding day will fly by so fast. It will all come together. Try to cherish the process.
