Golden Hour in Viper

From the photographer: When we started the planning process of this fun styled session, I wanted to bring several aspects to the table that really showed all the beautiful things that southeastern Kentucky has to offer. Our county is part of the heart of the mining industry and we wanted to really showcase that in these images. Thanks to a local family, we were able to locate our shoot at what was once an International Coal Group mine site that is now a fully reclaimed area with some of the most gorgeous views in Perry County.

I don’t believe there is anything better than golden hour on the mountain tops of our area, and this played a huge role in the styling of all the elements involved – from the golden and warm tones and hints of blue in the decor to the fine details in the bride’s accessories. Several of the vendors involved are small businesses that have been in the area for quite some time and our models, Lindsey and Michael, are both local to Perry County and just celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Their love is so rich and pure and definitely shines through. Michael brought his guitar along to pick some during the shoot. Lindsey’s father’s Camaro also made an appearance during the events of the evening to tie everything together and add their own personal touches to shoot.

This styled wedding shoot was designed to inspire brides to take an adventurous route when planning their wedding destination. Something as simple as a field on top of a mountain can make for such a perfect location to come together and celebrate a union that is just as beautiful as the views surrounding them.
