Willow + Silas's Louisville Wedding

From the bride: Silas and I met 8 years ago at the beach, not knowing that we actually went to the same high school back home. Our wedding day was long awaited by our friends and family (and myself, haha), and it was more perfect than words can even describe. I spent the morning getting ready with my best friends and our moms, constantly telling them I can't believe this day was finally here. My mom helped me into my dress, that only her and my nana had helped me pick out. I was so excited to do a first look with my bridesmaids as they hadn't seen it yet (it was so hard to keep it a secret from them for a year, but that moment made it totally worth it). I did a first look with my dad too, and that was so special. Seeing the man who was always strong have tears in his eyes, saying his little girl looked beautiful, made everyone emotional.

Our ceremony was held outside, in a garden, surrounded by trees. The natural beauty of Locust Grove made it the perfect backdrop to say 'I do'. Silas and I have been lucky to form strong bonds with both of our families, and when we were trying to decide who would marry us, his Uncle offered to become ordained and said he would be honored to be the one to officiate our wedding. It was so special and calming to have him up there with us. One of my favorite parts of our ceremony was when my Nana read us a poem, and his Grandma read us a letter. Our families have each welcomed the other as if we had belonged our entire lives, and I think that was shown throughout our special day.

After our ceremony, it was time to celebrate with our family and friends. Our reception was held in a field under a tent. I had been doing many DIY projects for the wedding and one of my favorite things was our Oil Lamp centerpieces. My husbands dad found all of them at a garage sale for only 10$. I was able to clean them up, surround them with eucalyptus and it made for a simple yet elegant centerpiece. After our first dance and parent dances, Silas and I took the time to sit down and enjoy our dinner together. One of the best moments for the both of us was sitting there looking at all our friends and family that came to celebrate our big day. We felt so grateful and loved to have everyone's support. We danced the night away as most of our time was spent alternating between the dance floor and our Photo Booth (which i think was our guests favorite part!)

Looking back on our day, I couldn't have asked for anything more. I was able to marry my very best friend and soulmate, surrounded by the most loving family and friends. Every time i look at our video or pictures, I smile from ear to ear. It was truly our perfect, Happily Ever After.
