Anna + Rob's' Elopement Celebration

Anna and Rob met last year, and from the beginning, they both knew there was something different about their relationship. “It sounds cliché, but when you know, you know,” Anna shares. They knew almost immediately that they wanted to spend forever together. Their faith is the foundation of their relationship, and both felt God making it clear that He had been preparing them their whole lives for each other. Six months later, they were ready to make that commitment.

With Rob in the military, planning a wedding around schedules and timing felt too complicated. “The more we talked about it, the more we realized that being married was what mattered most to us, not waiting for the perfect date or a big wedding,” Anna says. When Rob came home on a two-week leave, he proposed in what Anna describes as “the sweetest, most personal way.” The couple went to the courthouse thinking they were simply applying for their marriage license.

Instead, they learned they could get married that same day. “It wasn’t how we expected it to happen, but it ended up being perfect,” Anna recalls. They walked out of the courthouse as husband and wife, stopped for Blizzards on the way home and spent the rest of the day celebrating. “It was simple, unexpected, perfect for us and one of the happiest days of our lives.”
