Bailey + Grant's Louisville Wedding

The couple's wedding day began exactly as they had hoped, with bright sunshine and clear skies setting the stage for a joyful celebration. The bride spent the morning getting ready alongside her bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law in the bridal suite, where one of the day's most emotional moments unfolded. Her younger sister, Finley, surprised her with a scrapbook filled with letters and photographs from each of her bridesmaids. "This started the tears," the bride shared.

Thoughtful, personal details were woven throughout the celebration. The bride's grandfather, Richard Hogan, handcrafted a wooden cross for the ceremony, creating a meaningful focal point as the couple exchanged vows. A live quartet performed instrumental music, adding to the intimate atmosphere, while chinoiserie vases by Rose and Honey Florals adorned the head table. Sweet LiLu's completed the reception design with gold flatware and beaded chargers that beautifully complemented the champagne and ivory linens. Dinner featured some of the couple's favorite Italian dishes, including Caesar salad, penne with meatballs, pesto tortellini, vegetables, and focaccia, with the meal beginning in prayer led by the bride's younger brother, Hogan. As a final personal touch, guests took home custom matches—a fitting favor for the bride, who loves collecting them.

For dessert, guests enjoyed a maple brown sugar wedding cake before the couple shared their first dance to Leon Bridges' "Beyond." Looking back on the planning process, the bride's biggest piece of advice is to prepare for the final stretch. "The last two to three weeks of wedding planning is no joke," she said. She encourages future couples to leave themselves extra time so the week leading up to the wedding can be calm and enjoyable rather than overwhelming.
