Jessie and Payne knew they wanted a wedding day that felt effortless, meaningful, and uniquely their own. Tayvin Gardens provided an all-inclusive experience allowing them to focus on enjoying every moment, with nearly every detail handled by the venue's talented in-house team. Aside from selecting their photographer, videographer, and DJ, the couple was able to relax and savor the wedding planning process.

The festivities began with a rehearsal dinner in the charming English garden. Afterward, the entire wedding party stayed together overnight in the home located on the venue's property, creating a memorable and relaxed start to the wedding weekend. The next morning, everyone gathered there to get ready before the celebration began.

Personal touches were woven throughout the day, making the wedding especially meaningful. One of the most memorable details was the couple's sparkler send-off featuring the bride's late grandfather's beloved red 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle convertible. Another sentimental nod came from Payne's love of bourbon. One month before the wedding, the couple buried an Elijah Craig bourbon bottle that they had personally bottled together at the distillery, following the Southern tradition believed to bring good weather on the wedding day. "And man, did it work," Jessie shared. Despite their July wedding date, the day was unusually cool, sunny, and beautiful.

Family involvement added even more significance to the celebration. The bride's sister, Casey, created stunning hand-lettered signage throughout the event, while the bride, a ceramic artist, took on an ambitious project of her own. She handcrafted 18 blue floral-printed white plate sets and 11 coordinating blue-and-white candleholders for the reception tables. Wanting their wedding party seated alongside them, the couple chose a long head table adorned with bud vases and candlelight, creating the perfect setting to showcase the custom ceramics.

After the wedding, the handmade pieces became cherished keepsakes. The couple gifted a set of wedding plates to each of their parents as a reminder of the special day while keeping the remaining pieces as treasured mementos of their celebration.

For dessert, guests enjoyed a beautiful three-tier wedding cake featuring white chocolate layers on the top and bottom with a strawberry center layer, all finished with vanilla buttercream. Payne also had a special groom's cake: an Elijah Craig bourbon barrel cake made by his sister, Graycen, with strawberry and chocolate flavors.

When it came time for their first dance, the couple chose a timeless classic: "Forever" by The Little Dippers. The song remains one of their most treasured memories from the day. "It's an oldie, but such a good song that makes me tear up every time I hear it," Jessie shared.

Looking back on the planning process, the couple's advice to future brides and grooms is simple: "Everything will fall into place. Try to enjoy the planning process and not let it stress you out." They also highly recommend choosing an all-inclusive venue whenever possible to help alleviate stress. "But if that's not an option, be sure to get a wedding planner because they'll keep you on track with everything!"
